Summer 2019

Fall 2019 information coming soon!

Dance lessons are held once a week . Each class in 45 minutes in length (unless otherwise stated).

Dancers will need a black leotard (any style) and a pair of pink footed tights. This is the required uniform to be worn the first lesson of each month known as “Watch Day.” On other lessons, dancers may choose to wear a different color leotard or jazz pants with a fitted shirt. Skirts or tutus are acceptable any day. Dancers will also need a pair of black tap shoes and a pair of pink ballet shoes. Students 4th grade and older may purchase black ballet or jazz shoes in place of pink ballet shoes. Shoes should be brought to and from class in a dance bag. Take a minute to mark name inside of her shoes and outside of her bag. Tap shoes should have the ties replaced with elastic buttons that you may purchase for $3/pair. Shoes should always be worn with tights or socks. No bare feet. Hip hop and jazz students may wear fitted athletic clothing and tennis shoes (for HH and jazz shoes for jazz). Jeans are not acceptable.
“WATCH DAY” is the first lesson of each month. This is the lesson parents and visitors are welcome to view class. Remember, this is your day to see your child’s progress. Please do not disturb class by visiting amongst yourselves. Turn ringer on phone down. Please keep little ones seated and quiet. On other lessons, parents are asked to walk their child inside the building and then wait in the waiting room, run a quick errand, or treat yourself to a walk around the block! This enables the dance instructors to keep the attention of the students, as well as helps those who may be a little reluctant to feel more at ease. On these lessons, we will need one parent volunteer to stay in the Studio and act as a monitor. Duties may include; escorting younger children to the restroom, helping with the changing of shoes, etc. Look for a sign-up sheet if you would like to help. When class is dismissed, please come inside to retrieve your child. Try to make eye contact with an instructor, monitor, or studio staff so we know who actually picked up your child. Please remind your child to always wait until you have come inside to get him or her.
“Tuition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Tuition is not prorated for partial attendance or missed classes.   Payment of tuition is due on the first lesson of each month. Tuition may be paid via cash, check or credit card (Visa, Master Card or Discover) or bank debit card. Returned checks for insufficient funds will incur a $35 fee.  Tuition received after the 15th of the month is subject to a $25 late fee.

AGES 2-3
Music, movement, balance and the basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly and positive manner. The dancers do not have mom, dad or another loved one by their side during the class, so this class is great for children who will be able to participate in class on their own. Our teacher will keep the music and curriculum moving along in a way that is fun, positive and appropriate.
